Is CDX Live a separate app I have to download?
No. Buyers and hosts use the browser on cdxauction.com — Live Shows hub, theater/floor TV, host desk, and phone broadcast page (QR).
Do SpotPro sellers pay a show commission?
No. SpotPro members keep the CDX platform sell fee at $0 — including lots sold during Live Shows.
What is a Channel?
A persistent branded presence for a dealer: name, logo, accent, tagline, about, and a public URL. Buyers follow channels; the overlay uses the same brand while you stream.
Why cap shows at 40 items / 60 minutes?
Tight blocks keep energy high for buyers and packing sane for sellers. You can run as many shows per day as you want — only each individual show is capped.
Can I run more than one show a day?
Yes. Unlimited shows per day/hour. One active draft/live queue at a time so the desk stays clear.
How does shipping multi-wins work?
Host desk groups solds by buyer. Pack multi-lot orders together. Buyers can pay combined invoices to the same dealer via Account payments / pay-batch.
What video technology do you use?
WebRTC (WHIP/WHEP) with TURN for NAT traversal, low-latency HLS fallback, and a JPEG+Redis hot path for tough shop Wi‑Fi. Theater auto-cascades.
Do buyers need to tip or gift?
No. CDX Live is auction-native: max bids on timed lots, not tip jars.
What happens when the show ends?
Lots that already sold stay sold. Channel goes offline. Inventory holds and invoices remain on CDX. Start another show anytime.
How is this different from batch “show mode” listing?
Show mode pack can still batch-list lots with shared end times for a silent floor. Live Shows adds camera stream, channel overlay, per-item short clocks, and host desk solds. Many shops use both.
Who can host?
Sellers with SpotPro-linked CDX access (dealer email login). Buyers can always watch and bid free to register.
